35 Weeks and 1cm...

It was confirmed by our midwife today that I am officially not a green tomato. We had a great appointment with Nancy and she did a quick check to see if anything is progressing for baby's arrival, and sure enough I am already 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. This is exciting, but not too exciting. I could very well walk around at a one for the next five weeks, but the fact that there is some progress is reassuring. In fact, Nancy said that if for some reason they had to induce, I have enough going on, they could just break my water and not use pitocin for the induction.

This week has been pretty relaxing for Bryant and I. Although, all but one significant man in my life has had a major injury within the last 2 weeks. Cody, my 15 year old nephew had a hip reconstructed, his dad, Tait, broke his leg and ankle chasing a bad guy and had surgery, Bryant did something to his foot, and can barely walk on it, and yesterday, my brother, Trevor tore his back out. The only one who hasn't hurt himself is my dad, so I won't accept any phone calls from him for a few days! :)

We are nearly finished with the nursery, and once we get the bookshelves assembled, I will update the blog with pictures, and maybe a short video (if I can figure that out).

We have weekly appointments up until we deliver, so I will keep you posted on any exciting news we get.

All the best,

Becca, Bryant, Baby, and Mali Burger

whoo hoo! 1cm! It's so nice to feel like you're getting somewhere huh!
Ya, I scheduled my induction today for 4/3. I don't know if you remember me being diabetic, but they usually induce me at about 38.5 weeks. I always hope that I get to go into labor on my own, but so far...no luck. Anyways, it's nice to nice to start seeing an end to pregnancy and realize that our cute little babies will be here so soon! Absolutely crazy! Hang in there....your right, not much time left!
